A sailor went to sea sea sea....

Greetings friends,

Melbourne has been enjoying and adoring fabulous weather this Easter long weekend, so it inspired me to get out to Hobson's Bay and take some photos. How coincidental: my sailor top matches the ambiance of the yachts...

'A sailor went to sea, sea, sea,
to see what he could sea, sea, sea,
but all that he could sea, sea, sea,
was the bottom of the deep blue sea, sea, sea.

A sailor went to chop, chop, chop,
to see what he could chop, chop, chop,
but all that he could chop, chop, chop,
was the bottom of the deep blue chop, chop, chop.

A sailor went to knee, knee, knee,
to see what he could knee, knee, knee,
but all that he could knee, knee, knee,
was the bottom of the deep blue knee, knee, knee.

A sailor went to foot, foot, foot,
to see what he could foot, foot, foot,
but all that he could foot, foot, foot,
was the bottom of the deep blue foot, foot, foot.
A sailor went to Tim-buc-too,
to see what he could Tim-buc-too,
but all that he could Tim-buc-too,
was the bottom of the deep blue Tim-buc-too.

A sailor went to sea, chop, knee, foot, Tim-buc-too,
to see what he could sea, chop, knee, foot, Tim-buc-too,
but all that he could sea, chop, knee, foot, Tim-buc-too,
was the bottom of the deep blue sea, chop, knee, foot, Tim-buc-too.'

My latest infatuation with Asos X

On a day when the sunshine and blue skies make us forget that it's Autumn, you're inspired to play dress ups and take a few snaps.... The weather in Melbourne today was absolutely gorgeous. So what better than to invade your wardrobe and whip up something to exemplify such ambiance. I went down to Williamstown with my beautiful sister, and we just found a location and started snapping (Church background, Victorian lamp-posts, luscious green grass and contemporary apartments- MY NATURE!). The booties that I am wearing are such a killer, but I am now used to the platform height and came home with ankles that weren't swollen (my mum said that these booties remind her of the band KISS hehe). God love her!

The clothes that I am wearing in this post are mostly from my beloved Asos (skirt, booties, bag- my heart), and I have chosen to wear a light plum colored lipstick to match the season.. What are your thoughts my fashion frenzied friends?

Vivienna Lorikeet fashion show...

Tonight I attended the lovely Vivienna Lorikeet's Autumn/Winter fashion parade at 301 Smith Street, Fitzroy with my good friend Alice from the AFG. Inside this tiny but outdoor-decor store, we were instantly greeted with a choice of bubbly and we chose the intriguing strawberry flavored champagne. As we walked further in, there were scrumptious refreshments of cupcakes (but a girl's got to look after her figure) so we passed but still admired the view.

The runway was uniquely structured as a carpet of luscious green fake grass, and there were a row of super adorable white chairs both on the left and right hand side. We took our seats to enjoy the show, which stunned us with a talented show of acrobats wearing gorgeous play suits and models looking all Betsey Johnson-esque and interacting with the audience. Vivienna's collection is solely based around her infatuation with colors, shape and accentuating a woman's beautiful curves. There was lots of floral, tweed, 50s swing style dresses, short but sweet play suits (epitomizing my style in just a few words and snapshots)...

The crowd on the other hand even illuminated the room (not that the collection wasn't bright enough). Savvy men wore wine colored velvet sailor or velvet blazers, a girl caught my eye in her amazing metallic gold jacquard blazer, there were sooooo many pairs of Jeffrey Campbells which made me a tad bit envious and the pretty Cynthia even bought her cute dog to the show. Nonetheless, there was lots of mingling and introductions after the show was over. And it was my absolute pleasure to meet such friendly and stylish people.

So without further ado, I present to you:

My obsession with chiffon sleeves...

Hi again,

I thought I'd make a post dedicated to my best friend's 22nd birthday ('happy birthday darling'), and my infatuation with my Melissa shoes that my boyfriend bought me as a gift for simply being me.

Love, love, love!

When Autumn strikes, the military boots stomp out of the closet!!!

Greetings all Fashion bees,

Melbournians have had their fair share of chilly weather these last few weeks, so we have been obliged to rearrange our wardrobes and take out our favorite coats, capes, blazers and furs (my all time fav. pieces of clothing)..

Here is an outfit I wore out to the movies one night. It was inspired by a photo from street style that I witnessed, and thought I might give it a try.

What are your thoughts: have I pulled off the exact look with a touch of my own panache.

I am wearing Cheap Monday jeans, MinkPink tee, Casmir cardigan, Target military boots, vintage belt, tan leather bracelet, vintage bag.

Much love,

Miss Couture Vintage X
